The Texaco ValuCard is the first fuel
purchase card in Jamaica that is available to
regular motorists (the non-corporate consumer).
Texaco ValuCard has been designed to
provide benefits to a cross-section of diverse
consumers, and may be used by any licensed motorist.
The card offers motorists a combination of
convenience, financial rewards,
discounts, and free insurance (AD&D). It
is also a useful tool for persons who allocate fuel
allowances.

individual users, and cardholders incur NO transaction fees.

any participating Texaco service station

Enhanced personal security – your ValuCard removes the
need to travel with cash in order to purchase fuel.

Unlike
users of other debit/prepaid cards, there is no need for
ValuCard cardholders to leave the comfort of their
vehicles in order to punch in special numbers or sign
slips, as the successful processing of the purchase is
completely facilitated through the service station
attendant and cashier.

Unlike
regular debit and credit cards, your ValuCard incurs a
much smaller processing fee to the service station, and
is therefore more readily accepted.

Rewards, Discounts & Other Cost Benefits
Today, every driver is searching for a way to
reduce the cost of maintaining his or her motor vehicle(s).
Regardless of exactly how much you spend on your vehicle(s),
purchases of fuel, lubricants, and parts are not optional,
but are a must. So, since you’ll have to spend it anyway
why not spend less on it with Texaco ValuCard?
How?

Financial rewards (from Texaco Corporate) are awarded to
any user who purchases a minimum level of fuel per
month. The reward is applied to the card in the first
day of the month following the month in which the fuel
was purchased.
Rewards will be beneficial to individuals who travel
frequently and consume high quantities of petrol, such
as sales agents, members of medium to large single-car
households, taxi operators, small business operators,
and so on.

Discounts on non-fuel purchases (e.g. tyres, batteries,
lubricants, etc.) are also provided through specially
selected vendors, with the discount applied whether the
purchase is made at a Texaco service station or at the
vendor’s location.

Cost
Control – Small business operators, Parents, and other
individuals seeking to control fuel expenses, will also
find benefits in the card’s capabilities to allow
monitoring and control of an allocated fuel budget.

On
signing up, a password-protected online account
viewing area will be provided for each card, in
which the details of every transaction will be
recorded.

The
allocated funds (fuel allowance) can be placed on
the relevant card(s) at any convenient participating
Texaco service station.

The
authorised user can then log on at anytime to view
the actual purchase details for the card (date of
purchase, service station patronised, type of
product purchased, amount paid, and balance
remaining).

Over a period, users can also use transaction data
to pinpoint fuel consumption patterns, and review
fuel prices at different times or at different
locations.
Personal account details can be easily edited/updated
online, if necessary (e.g. change of address or contact
numbers).

Free Accidental Death & Dismemberment
Insurance
Texaco ValuCard members receive Accidental
Death & Dismemberment coverage of up to $100,000 for drivers
between ages 16 and 69 (with the exception of bike riders,
tractor drivers, and drivers of rental vehicles).
Certain conditions apply as to the extent and
application of coverage.
Signing-Up
Texaco ValuCard is free of cost to
individual motorists. Applicants can
sign up online, or at
any participating Texaco service station by asking for the
ValuCard brochure and application form. Applications are
processed quickly and the customer’s card is delivered or
returned to the sign-up station within 1-10 working days.
Upon receipt, users can top-up (put funds on)
their cards at any participating Texaco service station.
Service stations also have the option to offer credit to
longstanding and reliable customers.
Transactions with Texaco ValuCard can also be
processed even in instances where the POS terminal, phone
line, or the customer’s card has become suddenly defective.
All legitimate purchase transactions can be facilitated via
a manual transaction system.
ValuCard provides 24-hour customer service
and a toll free line for customers so that any query or
discrepancy can be immediately addressed while at the
station. All transactions are facilitated as long as the
client has sufficient funds on his account.
